Shoulder injury to sideline Australia's McCalman for up to six weeks

Wallabies and Western Force back-rower Ben McCalman will miss up to six weeks with a shoulder injury, ruling him out of the third Test against England as well as the remainder of the Super Rugby season.

The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) on Tuesday confirmed McCalman sustained a fractured right scapular after coming off the bench in last week's 23-7 second-Test loss to England in Melbourne.

McCalman will sit out the Saturday's clash in Sydney, with the 28-year-old replaced by Leroy Houston as Michael Cheika's side seek to avoid a series whitewash against England.

However, McCalman will be available for Australia's Rugby Championship campaign in late August.
