Bordeaux-Begles number eight Loann Goujon has been called up to the France squad to replace the injured Louis Picamoles.
Picamoles lasted just 15 minutes of Saturday's Six Nations opener against Italy, with reports suggesting a torn hamstring may have ended his involvement in this year's championship.
The 30-year-old will, at the very minimum, sit out next weekend's clash with Ireland, with the French Rugby Federation commenting: "He must rest for a few weeks."
Goujon comes into the squad with six senior caps under his belt, having featured in all five of France's matches in last year's Six Nations.
France beat Italy 23-21 thanks to the late kicking exploits of Jules Plisson.
