Campagnaro blow for Italy

Michele Campagnaro will miss Italy's final game of the Six Nations against Wales on Saturday due to a knee injury.

The centre has been replaced by Giulio Bisegni in the squad for the clash at the Principality Stadium after suffering medial ligament damage.

"The recovery time for Campagnaro is estimated at 10 to 15 days." said Italy team manager Luigi Troiani.

"That's obviously not enough for Saturday's match against Wales, and Giulio Bisegni will join the group this evening."

Lock Marco Fuser is expected to be fit to take on Warren Gatland's side, while centres Gonzalo Garcia (knee) and Luca Morisi (thigh) will be monitored over the next couple of days.

Italy are unable to avoid the wooden spoon after losing all four matches, but will aim to salvage some pride in Jacques Brunel's final game in charge.
