Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder was thrilled to see England captain Dylan Hartley make his return on Saturday.
Hartley, 30, played 16 minutes off the bench, coming back after over six weeks out due to concussion.
The hooker was knocked out during England's 31-21 win over France on March 19 as his team clinched the Grand Slam.
Mallinder was delighted to welcome back Hartley, who helped the Saints close out a 28-20 victory against Gloucester in the Premiership.
"Dylan has been frustrated that he has not been able to play," he said.
"He has been injured and taken his time. He has not rushed it and he probably needs a bit more game time to get back up to speed but we are delighted to see him back."
The timing is good for Hartley and England coach Eddie Jones ahead of the May 29 Test against Wales and tour of Australia.
