Earls a doubt for France clash after concussion

Keith Earls could miss Ireland's Six Nations clash with France on Saturday after suffering a suspected concussion in the 16-16 draw with Wales.

Wing Earls left the field with 10 minutes remaining and is now likely to go through the return to play protocols in a bid to prove his fitness ahead of the trip to Paris.

Jonathan Sexton, meanwhile, is expected to be ready for the Stade de France fixture, despite taking a nasty blow to the chest.

"I think Keith has probably suffered a concussion," said Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt.

"He will be considered to have had a concussive impact and that will certainly put him in doubt for next weekend.

"Johnny is sore without a doubt, but I was just talking to Jonathan Davies in the corridor and he's sore too.

"There are definitely a few sore bodies after a game like that."

Flanker Tommy O'Donnell passed a head injury assessment and is free to resume training.
